What is QuickTaps™?

QuickTaps™are a series of powerful audio recordings written and recorded by EFT expert and life coach, Marla Tabaka.  These recordings include techniques derived from the Emotional Freedom Techniques, Meridian Tapping, Energy Healing and Visualization, Neuro Linguistic programming, and more. They are designed to help you get to the root of your stress and limiting beliefs so that you can experience lasting and powerful effects that can change the way your think and how you feel.

QuickTaps™ comes with a simple workbook component so that each “session” is customized for you and the experiences, memories and limited thinking that may be holding you back from achieving the things that you desire, including: Good health, happiness, peace of mind, abundance, stability, loving relationships, business success and much more.

What is EFT TAPPING?

EFT Tapping stands for The Emotional Freedom Techniques. This “Tapping” technique was developed by Gary Craig and based on Dr. Roger Callihan’s more complex system, originally known as “The Callahan Techniques”, later renamed “Thought Field Therapy” or “TFT”.

The Emotional Freedom Techniques are categorized as “Energy Medicine or Energy Psychology”. Dr. Mehmet Oz, the world-famous heart surgeon, has been saying for years that “energy medicine is at the forefront of healing”. Medical science has finally grasped the significance of mindset and emotional wellness in healing the physical body. More and more research points to the fact that Energy Medicine is strongly effective in changing the brain’s chemistry, therefore improving the body’s ability to heal.

We often refer to EFT Tapping as “emotional acupuncture” or acupuncture for the emotions without the needles. Since the more modern Emotional Freedom Techniques use some of the same areas for Tapping as the ancient Chinese acupuncture utilizes. There areas, or points, are a part of the energetic field in the body known as the meridian system. Typically, EFT TAPPING practitioners use only the meridian points that are located on the head and upper torso.

How Does EFT Tapping work?

The “Discovery Statement” in EFT is: “The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system.” It is theorized that by tapping the acupuncture meridians these disruptions can be reduced or eliminated and that is what causes the positive shifts in emotions. What is the first thing you do when you are confronted with painful, threatening or negative circumstances? Typically we freeze – our minds race, our pulse quickens, our breathing becomes shallow. Cortisol is released from the brain so that the survival mechanism sets in – fight or flight.

Basically we “download” every, single negative event that occurs in our life. Some experience tragedy, that we call “Big T” tragedy. Examples of this are excessive childhood abuse, rape, incest, serious accidents, war-related experiences and so on. Others more commonly experience “Small T” tragedy: negative reminders from parents and other role models, emotional experiences in relationships, negative work experience, embarrasing childhood events, etc.

Whether you have experienced “Big T” or “Small T” events in your life, each event has changed your brain chemistry and left an imprint in your DNA. These add up and impact your thinking, your belief system, your attitude, your health, and more. When EFT is applied and the disruption in the energy system is released and the impact of these harmful memories changes from negative to neutral. When you recall the memory after the application of EFT Tapping it is like watching a movie, rather than reliving the event. You become somewhat detached and it is put into proper perspective . When you use QuickTaps™these negative feelings are replaced with feelings of greater empowerment and confidence. With the release of negative emotions (brought about by dissolving the disruption) you are able to think new and clearer thoughts, thoughts that are more creative, optimistic and empowering!

What types of things can I use EFT Tapping and QuickTaps™ for?

When Gary Craig began teaching EFT Tapping, he told his students to “try it on everything”! While that may be a bit broad, EFT Tapping can have amazing results on things that you may not initially think to use it for. How much time will it take to use QuickTaps™?

Each QuickTaps™ recording is from 35-50 minutes in length. However, after your initial use of QuickTaps™ you may not need to listen to the 1st track of the recording again. The remaining tracks can be used together, or individually, depending on your needs and what you find most effective for you.

You will also need time to answer the questions on your worksheets. If you are very in tuned with your emotions, this can take minutes. If this kind of thinking is new to you it will take longer.  You are making a commitment to yourself when you use QuickTaps™ and to get the overall and lasting effect that you are looking for, it may take time. Ask yourself how long you’ve been carrying the negative emotions with you. Is it worth an hour or even a few days to release them?

What other methods are used in QuickTaps™ recordings?

Will EFT Tapping is the mainstay of QuickTaps™, you will benefit from my years of experience as a life and business coach. Can QuickTaps™ be used for positive things as well as neutralizing the negative?

Since the purpose of EFT Tapping is to neutralize negative emotions and their effects, one of the most common responses to it is that people feel a release of tension in their muscles, in fact, in their whole bodies, as well as their minds. People also experience a cognitive shift when EFT Tapping is utilized effectively. These shifts will open the mind to a far more positive outlook.

QuickTaps™ not only neutralizes the tension and limiting thought, but it helps you to instill positive thinking – a new outlook – that will empower you to take steps forward to change your life!

Will the effects of QuickTaps™ and EFT Tapping last forever?

When we choose a memory that has contributed to your feeling “bad” and apply EFT Tapping, that story is generally neutralized forever. However, sometimes new aspects of the story arise: a part of the story that you hadn’t remembered until doing EFT Tapping or a different emotion relating to that story. If these aspects are not covered in your EFT Tapping session the “bad” feeling may surface again. QuickTaps™ solves that problem because you can simply go back to your workbook and the audio and tap on these unresolved aspects!
